Don Quixote Book Design (Interior and Exterior)—2022
I enjoyed the Spanish novel Don Quixote and wanted to create a book cover for it. The design includes full internal (including EPUB) and external design, with custom cover art that makes use of references to the story’s themes of duplicity and falsehood, and a banner of Quixote's trail of disasters in his wake to capture the spirit of the work. What better for a fake knight than to seat him on a paper horse? Endsheets are a custom created pinwheel pattern, a nod to the story's famous giants windmills.
Colophon: Cover title font is modified Shackleton. Cover subtitle font is Balboa. Cover body text font is Garamond ATF Text. Interior typeset with Cochin and Big Caslon for titles and subtitles, and Garamond for body text.

Right Road Lost Cover Design (Front Cover Only)—2025
Cover design for the novel Right Road Lost, commissioned by author C.F. Cole; includes custom hand-lettered typography for the title and a custom illustration for the cover.
The novel is not yet released, but I have permission to share this art with you. Check back for a link to the publication soon! The novel, as implied by the title, thematically relates to Dante's Inferno. The design concept intends to parallel the trouble the dual protagonists find themselves in, with one dragging the other towards the building that is the locational centerpiece in the story's conflict, paralleling Virgil and Dante's journey into Hell. The client requested incorporation textures from engravings sourced from French artist Gustave Doré's body of work for Inferno into the background and a graphic, mixed-media style. I made use of hatching to transition the custom painting into the engraved textures.
Colophon: Author and "a novel" font: Open Sauce Sans Black and Open Sauce Sans Black Italic by Hanken Design Co. The engraving manipulated for the sky texture is Doré's Virgil confronting the devils outside the city of Dis.
